Are your servers VPS?
No, VPS setups are usually quite limited in resources. Pressidium provides a completely different architecture if compared to other conventional hosting providers. We do not use Google Cloud, or any other similar service. Pressidium is built from the ground-up by ourselves for high-availability. This means your WordPress site is not hosted on a single VPS, but on a fleet of servers.
Why are there two A records for my website?
Again, this is so because your website is not hosted on just one server but on a highly-available cluster of servers. Your website will work if you accidentally put only one of the IPs, but will lose its load-balancing ability.
Important: This breaks availability design and may cause downtime under specific circumstances.
What’s my Pressidium account ID?
You can find it in the Pressidium menu of your WordPress Administration panel.
Have my DNS changes propagated yet?
The time it takes depends on your DNS provider, although its usually 24h to 48h. You can check yourself using a tool such as https://www.whatsmydns.net/
Do you support SSL?
Yes! We fully support SSL and also back Let’s Encrypt initiative. Please read our official blog announcement about Let’s Encrypt, as well how to enable SSL on your WordPress site, generate your own CSR or upload an existing certificate.
Do you support PHP7?
Yes! Read how to switch your PHP runtime from your Dashboard.
How many CPUs, memory, etc I have on my site?
There is no such thing in Pressidium. Your sites do not run on a single server but on a highly-available infrastructure comprised of a fleet of servers. Get in touch with us if you have specific worries about your plan’s resources.
Do you provide SSH access?
No, we do not, we are a Platform-As-A-Service provider and do not provide direct access to the infrastructure layer, as this would compromise both security and our DevOps management role. Send us your use case at featurerequest at pressidium dot com.
Help! I can’t find anyone on the phone!
We offer 24x7x365 support via e-mail and ticketing. We believe ‘call-center’ models of support can often be slow and ineffective. Read more about our Support ethos.
How many emails can I send from my Pressidium account?
We do provide SMTP integration via MailChannels for regular use. However, our infrastructure is not designed for mass-emailing. If you want such functionality please use a third-party service such as SendGrid, MailChimp, GetResponse, etc.
What payment methods do you support?
We accept all major credit and debit Cards, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Discover and Diners Club.
Help! I’ve been locked out of my site!
Find out why this is the case, and then open a support ticket supplying your IPv4 address to have the ban lifted.
